2021.10.25 07:07 IcedCoffeeAndIce Wish to get therapy, but unsure how to proceed.

I (18F) belong to a country where mental health issues are looked down upon, by the community, as well as personally by many people. Going for therapy immediately makes you crazy in everyone's eyes, and overall the scenario is very bad.
The past few months have been very taxing for my mental health. I lost a close family member (not due to COVID-19, but due to other health issues), and things have been difficult ever since. Also, the atmosphere in my house is not the greatest, like my family will blow up on each other on trivial matters, and whenever I say something that doesn't sit right with them, they call me ungrateful. My friends have been treating me like shit as well, they will only come to me for their own needs, like for issues and things like that, and I feel dejected. I cry myself to sleep almost every night, and have been getting suicidal thoughts as well. I went on the internet and took some quizzes for depression, and all of them showed that I was moderately to severely depressed. I have no clue how on point they are, or even if they are true, but I do feel bad.
So, if I do want to opt for therapy, how should I talk to my parents about this, because as I said, going for therapy makes you a crazy person in my country. Any kind of advice will be more than welcome.
TL:DR - Want to get therapy, but unsure how to proceed with it.

2021.10.25 07:07 AlbabImam04 Ranking All Fully Evolved Fire types (Part 2)

Ranking All Fully Evolved Fire types (Part 2) The part 1 was a bit weird.. For like, 4 hours, there were basically no comments on said post but in minutes it blew up basically. Regardless, I wish to clear up 1 massive confusion before I continue.
When I said Torkoal was the worst by a country mile, I didn't mean that Torkoal was the worst OVERALL. Like, Ninetales wasn't even on the list yet, then even to me, how could Torkoal be worse than Ninetales. However, you can't deny that Torkoal is worse than the PRIMARY weather setters (Peli, TTar and Alolatales) which is the point I was making. Regardless, let's just get on with part 2.
Also I noticed that many of you were terrified about the prospect of a Morning Sun Incineroar, and to that, I say (take this with the grain assault) I don't think Morning Sun will have much effect on Incineroar in Doubles. From the few analysis videos I saw from Wolfe, VGC matches tend to be very hyper offensive and end in 3-4 turns. I don't think Incineroar would have time to waste using Morning Sun when it has to spam Fake Out and U-Turn.

24) Entei Entei is an interesting case, on paper, it looks really good. It has great 115 Attack, solid speed and as well as quite bulky for an offensive Pokemon with 110/85/75. However, it just doesn't seem to work? Is that how I want to say it? After NDOU the tier I've played most is RU, and there, Entei has generally never been much of an issue. I think the primary reason why Entei isn't that good is because of its utter helplessness against bulky waters, something which a similar Pokemon, Darmanitan, doesn't suffer from thanks to Trick and U-Turn. And while Sacred Fire's burn can be annoying on occasion, most of its checks don't really mind it, if anything, Milotic enjoys taking a burn. Still, Entei has the luxury of running CB over Darmanitan's CF, so it does have that going for it.
25) Emboar Reckless Flare Blitz is a nightmare, and Head Smash hurts so bad it seems its STAB. The thing about Emboar is that it has raw skullcrushing power, however, that doesn't always translate to victory as I've mentioned time and time again before. Having no switchins is not a problem when you don't even let it come to the field. Emboar struggles with a few main issues, primarily its low speed, but also its lacking bulk, especially since it will be taking a lot of recoil. However, Emboar pretty much stonecrushes stall (as if there weren't enough Pokemon doing that to the poor playstyle already) so it has that going for it.
27) Talonflame The poor thing, intentionally had its stats neutered to balance out Gale Wings, but then had Gale Wings nerfed to oblivion the next gen. Still, talonflame does a lot of damage. The primary reason being while its attack sits at a pathetic base 81 (same as Cradily which I said suffered from being passive), the high BP of its STABs makes up for it. To put it into perspective, Talonflame's Brave Bird is nearly a 2HKO on something as bulky as a max HP Togekiss ( 252 Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Togekiss: 148-175 (39.6 - 46.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO) and to put it into perspective how bulky max HP Togekiss is, it lives a unboosted Metagross Meteor Mash. To compound that, Talonflame gets Swords Dance, making it a very dangerous threat once it can set up. However, Talonflame has a few issues, primarily being rock types who can shrug off its STAB without much issue. And considering that rock types like Stakataka, Diancie and Rhyperior are very common in the lower tiers Talonflame will end up in, let's just say it won't have a good time. Similarly, setting up isn't the easiest thing in the world, due to Talonflame's relative frailty and the types it resists packing moves to hit it back, like Heracross' Stone Edge and Roserade's Sludge Bomb. Still, once you get the Swords Dance up, and you clear your opponent's team of rocks, not much can stand up to your aerial assault.
28) Salazzle Imagine if this got Merciless and Toxapex got Corrosion. Fighting Salazzle on a Toxic Spikes offence team would've been a nightmare with it critting every move, regardless, we are not in that universe and rather, Salazzle deals with Corrosion, a strange ability for it, and one it doesn't even use very often since you're generally better off Fire Blasting Steel types. Speaking of Fire Blast, its Nasty Plot set is vey dangerous, due to the sheer power of Fire Blast as well as Sludge Bomb and generally Hidden Power Grass. However, setting up isn't easy because its frailer than even Talonflame. Similarly to Talonflame, even post set up it can be walled relatively easily, by either Gastrodon or Seismitoad if running HP Ice, or Flygon if running HP Grass, which is bad considering Salazzle won't get too many oppotunities to come in safely. The Sub Toxic set is also a general annoyance but I generally haven't found it to be too good.
29) Camerupt-Mega This guy is really underrated. Yes, it's slow and has a 4x weakness to water, but regardless of that, that's only 1 of it's 2 weaknesses, the other being Ground. Mega Camerupt's power is absurdly nuclear, with the combination of Fire Blast and Earth Power being very difficult to switch into, with Ancient Power sometimes rounding the set. Mega Camerupt however, still has very many a flaw, most obvious being it's dismal speed as well as the aforementioned water weakness. Not to mention the Earthquakes flying around will also terrify it. Regardless, with it's solid bulk and auspicious typing, Mega Camerupt can be quite successful in the right hands and with right support.
30) Arcanine Can't believe a legendary Pokemon is this low, but Articuno and Regice can share some sentiments with it. Arcanine suffers from having too well rounded stats, and generally feels like a worse Incineroar. While having recovery is nice, lacking all of the tools which made Incineroar good in the first place, namely Knock off but also Parting Shot/U-Turn (ok, future Albab here, this gets Teleport. I have no words) and the dark typing. Arcanine is still a solid defensive fire type since it can really lock down on grass types and its higher speed over Incineroar can come in handy on occasion
31) Charizard Charizard just misses out of top 30, but still the funny boots lifted it up quite a lot. Now that its Stealth Rock weakness is gone, it can finally function, most notably as a Solar power abuser. Even without Specs, you're 2HKOing Gastrodon and Milotic with Weather Ball, and neither will like to take the follow-up Solar Beam. Similarly, while it is not recommended, you can run Specs to really nail down bulky targets, you'll require heavy defog/magic bounce support. However, Charizard doesn't really function without sun due to its average stats otherwise, so it finds itself in C tier.
32) Magmortar Just how long is this tier? It feels as if I've been in C tier for ages. Regardless, we're nearing the end of C tier, and Magmortar finds itself here. The disparity with Magmortar is relatively obvious, its too slow. While its not that slow, base 83 leaves a lot to be desired, especially when your bulk is only 67 on the physical end. Magmortar would've found itself even lower if not for its solid Special Defence, uncharacteristic of most fire types who generally don't possess a good Special Defence stat. With that Special Defence you can come in on grass types like Vileplume and Sceptile and dish out some painful damage in return, with access to Fire Blast, Focus Blast, Thunderbolt and Hidden Power, a combination not many Pokemon can switch into.
33) Delphox Everyone's least favorite fire starter, Delphox, though I happen to like it. Delphox has a few interesting traits, mostly being its psychic type, and its trolly base 104 speed. That compounded with its base 114 Special Attack makes it out as a solid attacker. However, its lack of Nasty Plot really lets it down as Calm Mind isn't quite as good. Similarly, its movepool isnt the most stellar either outside of Grass Knot and its speed just falls short. Delphox has potential but barely misses out.
34) Ninetales Ah, Ninetales, one of the Pokemon who can truly be called, useless. Well, not exactly since it did shine on its own in gen 6 PU. Yes, the tier where Monferno, Prinplup, Vullaby and Quilladin are viable Pokemon. Ninetales' sole purpose is to set up sun and then do nothing else. Maybe wear something down with Will-o-wisp and Toxic? And Sun boosted Weather Balls actually do a good bit. Ninetales' whole existence is ruined by the existence of Torkoal... who is also PU. But if Torkoal didn't exist, Ninetales would've been the face of sun, so I couldn't really put it below C tier, especially for a teamstyle as dangerous as sun, so it gets C tier, just as a technicality though.
https://preview.redd.it/y43iadudlkv71.png?width=743&format=png&auto=webp&s=3e69c851ec56d5a763fa17393e526f7d2d162072
35) Houndoom If anyone is wondering about the magnificent work of art above, allow me to offer context. Houndoom is the favorite Pokemon of one of my best friends, who also happens to be good at art. I told him that I was better at art and I'm going to prove it by drawing Houndoom. You can see the results for yourself. Back on topic, regular Houndoom was once a good Pokemon, since the options of fast special attacking fire types were limited, with only Infernape being a close replacement. But as the days have gone on and new competitors like Delphox and Salazzle have arrived, Houndoom finds itself being very much power-crept out of the meta. HDB might help it out, but it's still frail and while it's speed is decent, it's not good enough, missing out a helpful speed tier of 100.
36) Typhlosion Game Freak hates Johto, I'm convinced. Jutting it with boat loads of terrible Pokemon which can be obtained reasonably. They literally gave Typhlosion stats exactly the same to Charizard, but nothing to differentiate itself aside for Eruption. Ok, positives, it has Focus Blast for coverage... so does Charizard. Stats wise, it has Flash Fire Eruption!... So does Heatran. But Heatran isn't in the lower tiers. That's basically the only reason to use Typhlosion. Scarf/Specs Eruption in some lower tier. Typhlosion is pretty much the flagship for a fire type, solid special attack and speed with mediocre coverage.
37) Centiskorch Centiskorch was quite hyped at release. A Fire/Bug type with Coil, Fire Lash on something not named Heatmor and a Power Whip to deter its checks. That didn't work out quite as planned. Most notably its poor speed, horrible physical defence and tie-in to Heavy Duty Boots come into mind. However, its biggest weakness is easily opposing flying types, who generally targets its weaker physical defence, are very common, and take resisted or neutral damage from all its attacks. The aforementioned Talonflame is a very big issue. Still, it can't be denied how good of a move Fire Lash is, or how difficult it is to switch into without a good flying type, so I'll give it D tier.
38) Pyroar Ah, yes. Moxie, of that absolutely incredible base 67 physical attack. Incredible. Still, Pyroar is basically a slightly worse version of Typhlosion, lacking the Eruption and Focus Blast from the former but having a secondary STAB (useful for waters) and 6 points of extra speed, which can be useful to outspeed something like Delphox. Basically what I said about Typhlosion, fast Special Attacking fire type with coverage issues, not much more than that.
39) Rapidash Gen 8 saved this thing from falling to F tier, much to the relief of my little brother who happens to love horses (can't wait till the fairy list :') ). Swords Dance on a Pokemon with high powered STABs and solid speed is appealing, and it packs decent coverage in Wild Charge and High Horsepower. However, setting up can be difficult, due to its frailty, and its low power prior to set up. Similarly, its not very fast (despite having "rapid" in its name), so revenge killing should be fairly trivial. Still, Rapidash opens up the top 10 today, but considering how much Rapidash had been through prior, I'm certain it will take not being F tier anymore as a win.
40) Simisear Worse Pyroar then. Well, not really since it does have Nasty Plot and solid coverage in Grass Knot and coverage, allowing it to be a decent sweeper in PU. Still, Simisear is quite frankly awful. Let's start with why it is awful. It has no bulk whatsoever, so many Pokemon can kill it, even grass types like Victreebel or Lurantis won't really be faced. Similarly, revenge killers like Primeape will easily dispose of it, due to its mediocre bulk, and even with Grass Knot, it will struggle to break bulky Pokemon like Lanturn and Qwilfish. Still, its nothing that Grassium Z can't fix, and even if Scarfers can revenge it, they can't switch in very often. An aggressive player should be able to get good use out of it by aggressive predictions.
41) Turtonator Considering one of my friends is literally named "Turtonator" I doubt he's going to be pleased if he sees either this or Magmortar this low. Still his fault for liking bad Pokemon. Turtonator is the last Pokemon today which has any semblance of worth, at least in my eyes, most notably as a Shell Smash sweeper and its unresisted STAB in the lower tiers aside for the very niche and nigh useless Carbink. Despite its low speed, after a Shell Smash, its able to be faster than Tornadus-T, which means it can also outspeed the entirety of the unboosted meta after a smash. And while Choice Scarfers would outspeed it, Primeape and Dodrio don't kill it in 1 hit due to its naturally high physical defence. Now, Turtonator has some issues. Setting up safely is most notable, due to the nature of lower tiers tending to be more offensive. And it really needs White Herb, otherwise the choice scarfers will easily take care of it, so its stealth rock weakness is even more pronounced. Defensive water types, like Lanturn will also be an issue since a +2 Dragon Pulse won't kill, giving the latter an opportunity to paralyse and cripple it. Still, at least Turtonator has something.
https://preview.redd.it/gpw23vdflkv71.png?width=733&format=png&auto=webp&s=b046362f6829ff902e02279c3d2f86089b1bb6fc
42) Coalossal To kick off the F tier we have Coalossal. Now, this might seem a bit strange, given its solid defensive stats and access to both Spikes and Rapid Spin. However, the typing don't lie. Hell, I didn't even find a Smogon entry/stats for Coalossal in PU/ZU. The only strategy for Coalossal is Monotype. Fire/Rock is a horrendous, horrendous typing when defensive, 4x weakness to water and ground, as well as other very pronounced weaknesses like Fighting. What's worse is that it doesn't pack resistances either or the longevity to back up, meaning that its generally outclassed at the defensive role too. Still, the access to Spikes and Rapid Spin is very cool, so I'll give Coalossal a pass for that.
43) Camerupt When I was little, I thought Fire/Ground was one of the most atrocious typings of all time. How could it succeed with such a noticeable and exploitable 4x weakness to the most common type in existence? Well, Camerupt is here to prove that viewpoint wrong. It's pretty much carried by it's typing. Fire/Ground are some of the most potent offensive typings out there, and Specs Fire Blasts and Earth Powers hurt really bad, which is strange considering that it's base 105 Special Attack isn't anything too special. It's also a pretty good check to most electric types since it's a ground type neutral to both HP Grass and Ice and HP Water is almost never seen. Onward with that, it's glaring water weakness along with it's low speed means that Camerupt will almost never be a metagame superstar, and similarly, it's very frail, meaning that aside from certain electric types, it won't get to switch in on much.
44) Oricorio I rated the other two Oricorio forms highly, but that has ended now. Oricorio standard is probably the worst form among the 4. That's mainly because of its typing, Fire/Flying is not a good offensive type combo since it only hits 4 types super effectively and gets walled easily by the common rock types. Pom Pom had the luxury of an incredible offensive defensive typing while Sensu's ghost STAB was very difficult to switch into.
45) Flareon Flareon seems decent on paper, but falls apart so very badly in practise. A Guts boosted Flare Blitz does nearly 25% to Kyogre, even with the rain up so imagine how much Flare Blitz and Facade does to the denizens of PU? On most matches, the amount of damage a Guts Flareon will deal is roughly 0, actually that's wrong, it will cost you a lot, you'll lose 1 PP in the battle. Flareon is slow, frail has terrible defensive typing (things it will like to check can attack physically like Victreebel), and can only really come in on Clefairy. Still, it does a very good amount of damage, and a more specially defensive spread with Wish and Protect can be used. But I don't see the potential in that either.
46) Silvally-Fire Silvally-Fire is an interesting case. From the 2 minutes of research I did, I think its the worst Silvally form (or tied with psychic) because those 2 are the only ones to not have a strategy on Smogon, and frankly, I've never seen a Silvally-Fire or have any idea what it will/might do, so feel free to correct me on this. I'm guessing it runs a special spread with Flamethrower, Ice Beam and Thunderbolt and Parting Shot for momentum. But, that set has longevity problems, most notably a Stealth Rock weakness, and its damage output isn't great due the lack of an item, Silvally-Fire is a terrible Pokemon.
47) Heatmor Heatmore languishing in ZU while its "prey" beats up RU for the 4th time. Hell, I actually wonder if Heatmor can prey on Durant because... 252 Atk Life Orb Hustle Durant Stomping Tantrum vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heatmor: 398-468 (127.9 - 150.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO. It gained Fire Lash in gen 7, which is a great move, but not nearly enough to clear it off its many flaws. Its slow and frail and to put the nail in its already dilapidated coffin, doesn't even deal enough damage. Sure, it has good coverage but what are you doing with said coverage if you don't even get to attack?
48) Magcargo And here it is, the worst of the worst, Ma-cargo. This thing is just...so bad. Almost as if the 5600C heat killed the coder's family so he cursed Magcargo to be unusable, even in game (evolution at level 37 btw), with low speed, mediocre bulk, no special rock STAB and a horrible typing. Doesn't even get Power Gem for goodness' sake. The only thing I can say about Magcargo is that it gets Recover and that's it. One of the worst Pokemon to be ever created, I'm not exaggerating when I say that.

Fire is an interesting type, probably the most balanced so far in terms of strong and weak Pokemon. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, also I won't be taking suggestions for what type to do next, I already have a route planned out. Next type will be fighting so stay tuned for that, coming out either Tuesday or Wednesday, with that, I bid you all adieu

2021.10.25 07:07 Grandgem137 Genshin Impact needs less timers.

Yes, this is a rant, but I believe many of you will agree.
I think it's totally understandable that the game has some timed challenges in the open world, and spiral abyss is okay as well. But why are there timers in events and domains too? Seriously, does it really matter how long it takes for me to kill a group of hilichurls to get shitty def% artifacts? Do I really need to kill enemies quickly during test runs even though I'm just trying out the character and seeing if I like their play style? Why are there timers in the fucking dungeon crawler event, when there's absolutely no timers at all in dungeon crawler games??? It's pointless, and MiHoYo needs to stop it.
All this love for timed stuff just forces us to follow the meta (which isn't even justifiable as the recent characters haven't been meta at all) and forget about the real fun of the game. I'd love to use my Amber more often since she's a character I really enjoy using, but she can't take down enemies quickly enough and the game keeps on forcing me to rush on my fights.
A simple solution for it would be limiting timed challenges to open world challenges and some events here and there maybe some exclusive domains like the weapon ascension item in Monsdadt, and that's it. We don't need more. Even the abyss should get some floors with different challenges other than just timing. Why not put sheer cold and some more debuffs on floor 9, corrosion and stronger enemies on floor 10, and only floors 11 and 12 would have timed challenges as they're meant to be DPS checks and to be harder? That way the meta would change, and we'd see "useless" characters being viable as they won't need to deal 999k damage per hit.

2021.10.25 07:07 JeppeStraubeBoe Back and bicep workout

Back:
4 x 8-12 lat pulldown
4 x 8-12 seated cable row
2 x 8-12 cable pullover
Biceps:
3 x 8-12 hammer curls
3 x 8-12 barbell curls
3 x 8-12 cable hammer curls
Generally I do 10-12 sets of the biggest muscle groups (back, biceps, chest and legs) in the same rep range as I do on this workout
Was just wondering if this is enough or too much volume?
